The secret peace talks between the Afghan government and Taliban leaders took a giant step backwards Monday. Turns out, Mullah Akhtar Muhammad Mansour, an alleged boss in the ranks of terror and the supposed key to negotiating a peaceful future, was a fake.
His impostor sham fooled the best. The man pretending to be Mr. Mansour was given diplomatic treatment for his role in the talks, including being flown on NATO aircraft from Pakistan to Kabul and escorted to the presidential palace for three meetings. A Western diplomat was quoted saying he also received "a lot of money."
The jig was up when Afghan officials showed photographs of the fake insurgent to men who knew the real one after doubts of his identity arose during the third meeting with the man.

Now in future talks with the Taliban, is the Obama administration going to ask the person in whom they are talking to show their birth certificate to prove who they are ?
Sorry, but the "best" are not working for this administration.

Remember when George Bush held high- level meetings with ‘Taliban Officials’ to make peace and they turned out to be imposters and they gave him a lot of money?
And remember when that evil Bush started frisking and sexual assalting passengers using unconstitutional powers in that evil Patriot Act?

Embarassing is when a TSA agent pulls your top down or your skirt up in front of 2000 angry passengers and performs their new fingering protocols.
This is shear and utter incompetence of the worst kind.
Before the death of outrage this would have been an outrage.
And don't forget Michelle's multi-million dollar vacations, her 22 personal assistants, their million dollar "date nights" in NY, flying the dog "Bo" in his own jet airliner, and their $200 million dollar a day invasion of India and......

Gee why does this not surprise me??? This is where political correctness BS gets you. I just wonder how many more people are going to have to die all in the name of political correctness. Our country is upside down.

It’s not at all clear in the article that the administration was involved. This was a meeting between the Afghani’s and the pretend Taliban. I suspect Karzai would not want the US to participate in such meetings until after the real deal was made. In fact, I suspect the US does not want to be there either so we don’t “know” how ugly it’s going to be.
The end result of this process will be to make Afghanistan into a staging base for terrorists again. Obama will want to say, “How could we have known?”
