Democrats Try to Crack Mystery of the Missing Voters
WSJ ^ | NOVEMBER 23, 2010 | GERALD F. SEIB

While it's correct that some key parts of the Democratic coalition—young voters and African-Americans among them—didn't perform as they did in 2008, evidence emerging as the dust settles from this month's election suggests the bigger hole in the side of the Democratic ship came from moderates in the political center who didn't show up. (Those absences were in addition to the wave of independent swing voters also from the center who, exit polls showed, turned out but switched their votes to the Republicans.)

I hope the Dhims will misread the election by believing that 0bama should turn even more to the left.

Methinks they also grow lazy in having to stuff the ballot boxes every election.

This from the same geniuses who claim Mr. Obama will beat Governor Palin in the general election. Do they even read what they write before hitting “send” on the PC?!

Sometimes a story becomes so obvious and huge that even the jourbalists have to cover it. Don’t worry: They’ll be back on the “Bristol Palin/Tea Party conspiracy” meme soon enough.

If they mess with the net and cell phones, as they seem to have planned...they will never see that youth vote again.

The ignorant voters didn't turn out for the mid terms?
No surprise since they don't have a clue what's going on anyway.

I doubt that they’re overly impressed with having their junk fondled in order to fly, either.

PC is hip and cool until it literally gets its hands on you.

They ALWAYS misread it to mean that. The scary part is that sometimes it works, and once they get in, unlike Republicans, they don't sit on their hands.

The analysis of independents sucks as usual.

Independents are not all moderates who stay home every other election or switch allegiances every 2 years.

Almost half of Independents are to the RIGHT of establishment Republicans who make them sick. The “sitter” independents don’t show up when RINOs are running and come out in droves when there are REAL conservatives running.

(The same does not happen for DEMs because there is no left of Democrats who have the Stalinists pressed firmly to the wall.)

Since it's human nature to believe what we want to believe, that is the default result.

I really wish the voter registration polls would be purged. Make everyone re-register and require proof of citizenship.

The number of registered Dims would be cut in half, what with illegals and dead people no longer on the rolls.

I never believed in the legitimacy of the “youth vote” for Obama. Massive fraud.

No, I really believe that there was a number of young libs who thought that if they voted him into office, we wouldn’t have affirmative action anymore and white kids would be allowed to hang out in the hood and all would be well in America. Two years later those libs are still unemployed, blacks still resent/hate them, and they probably won’t be working for the duration of the Kenyan Pirate’s (single) term.

I guess the kind of voters that are excited by styrofoam columns and screaming “Yes we Can” are the unreliable types.

I guess the dead vote didn’t show-up in the numbers they needed to secure victory.
