If you decide not to make any reply thats OK, but what if I will ask anyway could have been of a strategic target there? A SK SOSUS command or station?

Saw this quote posted, can’t confirm atm, but if accurate it’s a hell of a change of tone from China:

S. Korean Marine bases. The island is a hill. The bases are located on the other side of the hill, away from NK’s vantage point. They used howitzers to hit these targets.
