This makes RATS deeply saddened - and worried.

Anyone feels compelled to fret about global warming of the man made variety they might well devote his angst to the thermonuclear variety coming from Pakistan, North Korea, Israel, Iran, China, and lots of wannabes like Hugo Chavez.

The GOP or the conservatives need to take back environmental issue by arguing for a divorce between environmental issues and global warming. One can be a conservative and have concern about environmental conditions at the same time (for instance, on water pollution).
One thing that I'm not sure: what is the conservative solution on environmental issue? When I was still in school, we learned about Social Marginal Cost, etc., with Pigouvian Tax as one of the possible choice to address the issue. However, as a tax, it would affect a firm's ability to compete.

Never forget:
SCIENTISTS at the University of East Anglia (UEA) have admitted throwing away much of the raw temperature data on which their predictions of global warming are based.
It means that other academics are not able to check basic calculations said to show a long-term rise in temperature over the past 150 years.
