Dogs are cleverer than cats because their friendly character has helped them develop bigger brains, a study set to end the argument between pet lovers has shown.
The intelligence of a mans best friend has evolved at a greater rate than the less social cat over millions of years, scientists at Oxford University have claimed.
It was often thought that the feline pet was smarter than its canine counterpart because it needed less attention but researchers have discovered that cats brains are smaller because they are less social.

A dog will eat cat sh!t then lick me in the face. No brainer. Cats are far more intelligent.
Dogs are not smarter than cats! Not only that..man’s best friend is a dog..but diamonds are a girl’s best friend...
Long live cats!!!
My cat can spell "prefer" correctly.
Or cats are lazy and take advantage of their owners by playing the cute card. Dogs actually work for a living.
That’s just to get the taste out of their mouths...
Animal IQ test. Point at something. A dog turns and looks at what you are pointing at. A cat looks at your finger.
I watched a FANTASTIC documentary on Netflix instant play Dogs Decoded: Nova.
They suggest humans may not have been have been as successful without dogs. Towards the end, the part on the silver fox... was amazing!
That's because the 8 cats would be having the dogs pull them through the snow (if they went out in the snow at all in the first place). My cats open cupboards (and paw out what they want to play with) and let me know twice a day when it's time for me to feed them (7:30 AM and 4:00 PM). Our son's cat growls loudly whenever strangers approach the front door.
My brother said he hasn't had an uninterrupted sleep ever since he retired. Letting his dog out for potty breaks when it whines at night is leaving him tired.
Some are cat lovers, some are dog lovers, but we can all agree we love our pets and they own us.

Funny find Nachum... this one will be interesting...*popcorn graphic*
My dog thinks it is a snack box!
When female visitors show up at my house, my cat immediately careens up to them, sticks his nose in their crotch and shakes his head and slobbers insanely.
And he stinks when he’s wet.
I like dogs and cats but it has always been obvious that dogs are more intelligent.
Among dogs there is a lot of difference between breeds. German Shepherds and Border Collies are clearly smarter than Bulldogs. Despite that, Bulldogs (not pit bulls) can make good pets.
I have a Lab mutt mix that someone dumped out here when she was a pup. She is showing signs of being pretty smart. She picks up on things really quickly.

I think that dog needs to see a vet. I've never had a dog do that. They can hold their stuff for ages.

This study says otherwise.
“When female visitors show up at my house, my cat immediately careens up to them, sticks his nose in their crotch and shakes his head and slobbers insanely.”
TSA cat
Absolutely. Just like humans that chose to do so, dogs become slaves of love, whereas cats have no such notion whatever (except for a place where they can eat and... you know what).
Dogs were sent into space first.
Sadly, they came back.
