No one is forcing TSA agents to violate the privacy and dignity of their fellow citizens - they can always find another job.

Uhhh no, not as easy as you think.

So I guess BO’s propaganda press is trying to make us feel sorry for the TSA Perverts? I’m not buying it no one is forcing these TSA Perverts to sexually assault people.

I am sure these faithful government workers felt the same.

No one said it was easy - but all of us can make choices about the kind of work we're willing to do.

9/11 was dependent on the free pass that had been given to hijackers in the past. That ended on 9/11.

I've made that point over and over again.

Even worse, cooperating with the hijackers was official U.S. government policy. Once we realized the stakes, We, the people, threw that idea out the window.

Just got this in my email and I LIKE IT.

Subject: Full body scanners

Ingenious! What a great idea!!!! Why didn't anyone else think of This ???

The Russians are developing an airport security device that eliminates the privacy concerns that come with full-body scanners at the airports.

They have a booth that you can step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have on you.

They see this as a win-win for everyone, and there would be none of this junk about racial profiling.

This method would also eliminates the costs of a long and expensive trial. Justice would be quick and swift. Case Closed !

This is so simple...that it's brilliant.I can see it now. You're in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled explosion. Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system,"Attention standby passengers - we now have a seat available on flight number _____".

END

Now this is what we're talking about right here.

It’s like my mother told an IRS agent at our doorstep who told her he didn’t like it, but it was just his job, “...Then you should quit.” A job is no excuse for indecency, arrogance and tyranny. Many a gestapo goon probably thought of what he was doing as just his job, as though that legitimizes bad character. Such a job has bad character and lowbrow intellect as a prerequisite. I’ve met more than one bad cop fitting those requirements, and they brought no honor to their profession, and the people they served.

The TSA is simply stupid. Now pilots simply have to show two i.d. cards, one issued by the government, and they can walk right through. I wonder how hard it’s going to be for one of many terrorists working for the government to issue an i.d. card to one of his terrorist pilot buddies. The government has just shown the muslims how to crash some more planes. Makes me want to fly even less.

And there are terrorists working for the government. One was in the Army and killed a bunch of soldiers at Ft. Hood. I doubt he was the only one.

they can always find another job

they will be like the Roman tax collectors of old- pariahs in society that no one will associate with, much less hire if THAT’s what is on their resume! Family and friends will disown them. Can you imagine your child telling you they are going to be a TSA agent? Can you imagine telling people that is what your spouse does? Then as this becomes such an unacceptable job for any decent human being to do, they will have dig further and further into the dregs of society to fill the jobs, and the nightmare will get even worse for those exposed to their abuse!

Thanks for the tip, aMPU. I’ll be departing PHL from terminal D on the 24th. If I see scanners there, I’ll just walk around to termainal C and enter there. That way I just be risking a random grope.

I have never seen a TSA agent change gloves. They are either wearing them (such as the x-ray carry on scanner, or the agent holding the wand metal detector) or not, such as the agents directing people.

Right on, FD! Something in my oath-taking veteran’s mind just screams following orders to deny the 4th amendment rights of fellow Americans does not fall into the category of duty. And I don’t care how safe this makes others feel. Those who feel safe are deluded. Those who openly state this makes us safer are tools.

Lanny Davis said it straight up when he said, in effect, he doesn’t mind if others are treated this way as long as it makes him feel secure.

Correctional officers don't like it either, but their clients have usually had due process of law before losing these rights.
