Yes, and no. He, along with all the other con artists in politics have been getting away with it for so long, they no longer care, banking on 1.) the short voter attention span, and 2.) the LSM supports the all the lies, bad policies, and the like.
Running for POTUS, he came up with his lame-brain line about a Social Security "lock-box". I can't think of anybody in the LSM that pointed out that it should have been a mandatory fiduciary responsibility from the get-go (LBJ aside), "so why didn't you campaign for it at the very beginning of your political 'career'"?
