In the post-election "lame duck" session of Congress, Obama and the Democrats will focus on jobs, jobs, jobs. ... Oh, wait, no. They'll focus on passing a big amnesty for illegal immigrants, in order to reward their Latino "base"--which was only 8 percent of the national vote but supposedly cares with something approaching monomania about amnesty (despite evidence that Hispanic American opinion is shifting against illegal immigrantion). ... When did the Democrats' African-American base--11 percent of the vote--get that kind of service? ...
P.S.: ABC News calls the bill in question--the so-called DREAM Act--a "small piece of immigration legislation." But later in ABC's report, Rep. Luis Gutierrez, a key supporter who met with Obama Tuesday, said, "We cannot squander this opportunity to save a million kids." How is amnesty for "a million kids" a "small" piece of legislation? And that's not counting the family members of that million kids who are likely to be legalized, formally and informally, as a result of the bill. ...

The Communist DemocRAT Party needs a bunch of new voters before 2012 so they won’t have another can of Whoopass opened up on them. Socialism-loving illegal aliens are their only and last hope.

Bastard
It’s presented as being for the children, but what most don’t realize is that “children” up to the age of 35 are eligible.
Plus all their relatives, i.e. multiply totals by 10.
who can barely speak English himself!
Roberto Maldonado, Gutiérrez’s former brother in law and a former employee of Gutiérrez’s political campaign organization, was the top purchasing official with the Mayor’s Office of Employment and Training in 1988. Maldonado doled out hundreds of thousands of dollars in business to companies owned by people in Gutierrez ‘s Puerto Rican political circle, then solicited campaign contributions for Gutierrez from those and other Office of Employment and Training vendors.
The Chicago Sun-Times alleges that while serving as US Representative, Gutierrez helped his daughter Omaira Figueroa get a job as a consumer counselor for the Illinois Commerce Commission in June 2004, after Blagojevich aides included her in the then-secret hiring database under a spreadsheet labeled “Gutierrez, Luis (CONG-D-4th Dist.)”
With a $140,000 loan from her parents, Figueroa bought a new two-bedroom, two-bathroom condominium in Humboldt Park in June 2008 for $155,000 through an affordable housing program in the 26th ward of then-alderman Billy Ocasio. When Figueroa bought her condominium on June 9, 2008, she and her husband were earning income, from her state-government job with the Illinois Commerce Commission and from her husband’s job with the city Aviation Department, in excess of the qualifications of the affordable housing program.
Little more than a year later, she sold the condo for $239,900, $84,900, or 55 percent, more than she’d paid.
Exactly, they only have to say they entered the country before they were 16 and they have been in the country for 5 years(no stipulations on how this is proved so they can probably get another illegal relative to attest to it) and they have to have served in the military, graduated from a US high school or have a GED. A GED is incredibly easy to get.
“We will go into the field like the civil rights movement and the suffragists did.” Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-IL)
“We will escalate to civil disobedience.” Gustavo Torres of Casa de Maryland
Take a look at what’s really in the bill:
IT IS NOT JUST FOR CHILDREN-—Illegals under the age of 35 are eligible; so this is clearly not designed to target only high school and college-age immigrants; it sounds like amnesty, not education.
YOU ARE GOING TO PAY FOR IT-—The DREAM Act requires that all applications be processed, with no increased fees. That means Congress is going to have to appropriate more money to handle the extra work-—and you the taxpayer are going to pay for that. Also, DREAM Act recipients will immediately become eligible for federal student loans, work study programs and other forms of financial aid-—all on your dime.
CRIMINALS ARE WELCOME-—Criminals are welcome to apply, and once they do, they can’t be deported. This includes gang members, those who have received a DUI, and illegals who have engaged in voter fraud.
THEY WILL QUALIFY FOR IN-STATE TUITION-—The DREAM Act will allow illegal aliens to qualify for in-state tuition, even when it is not being offered to U.S. citizens. A few states allow this travesty of justice now, such as California, who just recently joined in. If the DREAM Act passes, every state will be told to do the same.
THEY DON’T HAVE TO COMPLETE SCHOOL-—Again, this bill is about amnesty, not education. The DREAM Act does not require that an illegal alien finish any type of degree in order to become a citizen.
CHAIN MIGRATION IS ENCOURAGED-—Illegal aliens who receive amnesty under the DREAM Act will have the right to immigrate their family members-—including the parents who sent for or brought them to the U.S. illegally in the first place-—in unlimited numbers as soon as they become U.S. citizens. They can also petition for their adult siblings living abroad-—and once that adult sibling is allowed into the U.S., their spouse and children are granted a pass, as well.
No way, Jose!
Revenge against America for November 2.

The border gates are wide open, invite them all in!!!!
Then we can give all 20 million mortgages as welcoming gifts!
When the foreign occupier employed the phrase "fundamentally transforming America" two years ago, that's precisely what he meant. Zer0 has no intention of going quietly.
Say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.
DREAM Act - otherwise known as the Democrats only chance to greatly increase their voter base.
Via egregious corruption, as usual.
I guess the Federal Gov. has a gun to our heads. They control immigration and States have to suck it up.
A long long time ago people were honest.
In the early 1900s the US decided we needed to restrict immigration. It became illegal to be in our country illegally.
Immigration became an orderly process. People wanted to be Americans with every fiber of their being.
Then in the early 70s, Texas got over run.
In 1980 they estimated that there were 3 to 6 million illegals in the country. Maybe as many as 12 million! They needed to stem the tide of illegal immigration in the school system. Plyer v Doe ended that in 1982. TX had to pay 62 million dollars to educate 20,000 children!
They needed healthcare - check
They needed housing - check
They needed welfare - check
They needed amnesty - check
They needed in-state tuition check
They needed the DREAM act - check
Then they will need jobs after school.
Who needs citizenship?
Then we will need new farm workers.
Then they will need education - check
Then they will need healthcare - check
face it, we lost the country unless someone challenges Plyer v Doe again.
Maybe the Supreme Court will find that people do come here for a free education.
“All Jose Lopez wanted for his children was the education he did not receive in Mexico.”
“Nine of the 10 Lopez children graduated from high school.
Jose Lopez wants to see his grandchildren go “mas arriba” much higher than his children, whose high school graduation photos are displayed prominently in his living room.”
Maybe the Supreme Court will find that gving out free stuff does attract more illegal immigration. 530,000 illegal students or children of illegals 2005.
Maybe the Supreme Court will find that 4 BILLION dollars might be getting a little expensive for the State. 2005
And finally maybe the Supreme Court will find out that Equal Protection of the law never meant that illegal immigrants are eligible for everything citizens get. It meant you couldn’t prosecute one person more than another for the same crime.
