What does seem clear: we should militarily go after those Bush was a mixed bag. He surprised the Islamoterroists and sent them back into their caves with his focused response of going after these murderers and invading Afghanistan. Then I think he went sideways in Iraq.

W's Iraq thing was convoluted from the start with confused motives and goals. I think W saw an opportunity to do what his dad failed to do - get Sadaam. He contrived the WMD thing. When that was exposed as a hoax, he invented "The Bush Doctrine" - invade countries and make them be democratic.
