I still don’t understand why the TSA hasn’t banned wearing underwear...after the “underwear” bomber attempt.

In the same vein as the German (almost) nude protest perhaps those so inclined could drive their cars wearing little more than underwear. If stopped, just explain that you are on your way to the airport and are properly attired for the TSA. (Bumper sticker: TSA inspection ready)
