Sigh.
This is getting extremely tedious.
You do not see it everyday because weather conditions at altitude must be ripe for that kind of contrail to form.
It must be at the right time of day to be backlit properly and you must have an aircraft flying throught that area at the right time and you need an observer in the right area to see the “rocket” illusion.
Doesn’t it strike you that nobody up or down the coast called it in like when rockets launch out of Vandenberg?
Only the area where the news chopper was did this look fully like it did.
Hey, again, I’ve seen all htese elements before.
The contrails spreading on the horizon, the illusion it is a rocket moving away, the orange glinting off the shiny aicraft at sunset.
Given that, I expect we will see similar again.
Just as the next day there was a similar contrail spotted on harbor webcams. And many months previous a very similar contrail.
They will happen again. No it is not an everday occurance.

What was so special about the weather conditions THAT day compared to others in los Angeles? Please enlighten me! LMAO!!! Please tell us all (let me guess you are a meteorologist too) what was so unique about the weather conditions in Los Angeles on THAT day compared that was one time deal.
If it was a plane then the FAA should be able to easily tell us which aircraft. You should know that being a pilot. Furthermore, do you really believe this is the FIRST TIME Ever an airplane ,in the second largest city in the United States, flew that exact route at that time. Please don’t tell me you are THAT gullible!
