Stop and think about it. The seas off the Southern California coast ase full of vessels, many of which have security cameras rolling 24/7. many of these ships would be inbound from a hundred or more miles out. If a missile launched to the east of them, a bridge watch would have for certain seen it and cameras captured it.

NOT ONE MENTION FROM A SHIP OF ANYTHING RESEMBLING A MISSILE LAUNCH.

Not to mention the resident of the islands, the LAX Air Traffic Controllers on visual watch. The event was also recorded by the LAX Webcam. I posted it further up. No vertical launch, but purely a horizontal contrail when you take into consideration perspective.
