I didn’t intend to ride a bronc, my (former) horse got all “western” on me one afternoon and went from looking at the sunset with me, to bucking like a pro. I suspect a large horsefly was biting him, and as the bucking started, the back cinch encouraged him to continue bucking.

In all my years of riding, that was my only bad experience.
I had no idea ribs broke that easy.
