HAH! I am on the thread mentioned in the article, and cries like this go up every Monday night:
“Do your ACORN best for Bristol!”
“Vote like a Democrat!”
“Vote like a Chicagoan!”
It is hysterical. We have a good time on Dr. Scarpetta’s DWTS weekly thread, but I think there are hardly enough of us there to bring in the millions of votes Bristol and Mark have racked up.
Silly leftist conspiracy theory nuts!!!
My husband and I have been watching, but we aren’t voting this year. Last year I voted for the Olympic skating champion because he’s cute, as well as talented. That’s how meaningless the voting is. I was hoping someone would put him in a remake of Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse as I was born after Valentino died.
I think people have been voting for Bristol because she is the only nonprofessional on the show and has shown guts and lately has shown great improvement. No doubt that Brandy who she beat out this week was a better dancer, but I think the young viewers liked Bristol’s ‘Hey, this is fun’ attitude better and could identify with her more. And more of them wanted to see her again than wanted to see Brandy. Just a conjecture.
The votes are half the judge’s assessment and half the popularity poll by call in votes. You can’t call more than allowed from one phone. We were allowed 5 or 6 votes last year, then they cut us off with a “sorry, but...” This year I think one phone call records your five votes all at once so you don’t have to hit redial and they don’t have the lines jammed with multiple call ins.
You know that Palin is Vote for the Worst’s pick, don’t you? All those nutty VFTW airheads have been voting for her for weeks now?
