First, Thune voted nay and Demint didn’t vote, so Thune performed better than Demint. (Vote passed easily anyway, so it doesn’t matter.)

Second, Thune is going nowhere.

Third, don’t worry, you’ll find something wrong with all of them by primary time. America will be looking for an experienced centrist in 2012, and Republicans allow too much open voting in primaries for a conservative to be easily noiminated. Which means most of us won’t care for the eventual nominee. Broken glass time again.

I fear the same thing will happen nationally in 2012 as typically happens here in the People's Republic of Illinois. Conservatives split their votes in the primary, which enables a Rino POS to get the nomination. I fear a split of votes among Palin/DeMint/Pence/Ryan/whoever will enable Slick Willard to be the nominee.
