Hamilton believed in a strong central government and admired France’s and, particularly, Great Britain’s national governments, as well as their prime minister/parliament system (sans monarchy). He was a Federalist while Jefferson was a Republican.

Well, she got one thing right: Hamilton, like Obama, had no emotional attachment to any of the original colonies. His version of the Constitution would have divided the country into senatorial districts that ignored state boundaries. He married into the ruling class of New York, which then became his political base.

And while Jefferson was toasting the Jacobins and using a miniature guillotine as a tow=y, Hamilton protected this country from possible French invasion.

Jefferson was the original salon liberal. A slave-holding Jacobin. Hamilton distrusted mobs. So did Washington.
