How does a drunken heap of monkey spunk like Etheridge win seven times in a generally Red State like NC?

How does a drunken heap of monkey spunk like Etheridge win seven times in a generally Red State like NC? North Carolina arguably has the most egregious gerrymandering in the country. This is going to change very soon. Republicans won control of both the NC house and senate for the first time in 112 years.

One word- TOBACCO. Until his party decided to destroy the farmers and the product... but still not ban it cause they want the tax money. Dude drank a lot, and you may notice he’s had his nose broken at least once before. All else in his profile, Boy Scouts, church.. you’d think he would have switched parties by now. But not in the leftovers in NC who still vote yellow dog dem. They are learning though. Both houses of the state legislature went Republican- first time in some 150 plus years. Now for the crook governor.

How does he get re-elected. Because the stupid people in this state (I am a native and live here) keep electing the same old pieces of crap time after time after time after time and can't realize their lives are being destroyed by the Democratic party in NC-—until this year. For the first time in over 100 years(let that sink in), I repeat 100 years the Republicans in NC have both the House and Senate. I am hoping that they do not inherit the arrogance of the former leaders in this state. The former governor is under investigation but he's a lawyer being investigated by lawyers so he'll get a pass—bet on it. The current governor is being investigated and hopefully the man that led the NC Senate will be next. The former speaker of the House was convicted and is finishing up his sentence and the former Agriculture secretary was convicted and sentenced. Maybe, just maybe, the Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Andy Griffith loving sheeple of this state finally have woken and we can close a $3 billion budget gap and make a law that all surplus monies have to be saved or returned to the taxpayers. We had 2, $1 billion surplus budgets that the Democrats in Raleigh decided would go on for ever so they spent the money, not on one time expenditures, but created new, ongoing expenditures that we can't afford now. I have just re-read Codevilla’s American Spectator article and every time I do, I am more and more convinced that he is absolutely 100% on target.
