There is always a reason. Anyone here want to guess why the orig ban on hats was established? Better yet, anyone know? Bella Abzug. So what? I think she is right to question the ban. There are a lot of congressional rules that I think are just plain stupid. Like being censured for calling the President a liar, when he lies to your face.

My point, though not well stated, is that this has become about her and not the rule. The rule should be the focus. If the reasons for the rule no longer exist, get rid of it. It should not be about her.
Any good reporter would have provided some history instead of making this an emotional issue about her.
