[history]
Protesters in Haiti's capital are lashing out at U.N. peacekeepers and the government, blocking roads and attacking foreigners' vehicles.
Demonstrators are setting up burning barricades, and Haitian police have fired tear gas.
U.N. and non-governmental organization vehicles have been pelted with rocks.

Yeah, and cholera has already made it to Florida. Purportedly from returning aid workers but if things there blow up, the refugee flood will bring with it its own kind of hell.

Apparently the Haitians haven’t heard about the germ theory of disease and believe instead that cholera is caused by foreigners, UN officials and non-governmental agencies. Why are “UN peacekeepers” in Haiti, by the way? Was there a war, too, that wasn’t reported?

I thought Sean Penn was in charge over there and had taken care of everything?

This is and has been the norm for Haiti; a nation that has been independent and free for over 200 years and they have never gotten their act together thanks to the corruption of French colonial influence and ingrained african tribal relationships.

UN peacekeepers are there to hold the zombie hordes. The media is not reporting the start of the zombie apocalypse. Cholera is just a cover story.

We took 356 people off of a 65 foot M/V in 1987. It was drifting in the Carribean between Haiti and Cuba. It was wooden so it was lucky we painted it on radar. They were disabled, no water, and very little food.
People were literally stacked in below deck. Medieval.
We put them on the foc’sle and the fantail and it was a VERY good thing it was summer in the Carribean, because it was nearly FAC. With no wind or waves we were rolling very slowly from side to side, and ended up having to load all the ballast tanks and the fore peak to give us a little better stability.
Ship was a 210’ out of St. Pete, FL. They used to route the stack out of the fantail of those things before the refit. Nasty.

All the money going to Haiti is being stolen..
Wonder how much the Clintoons and Bush are getting?..
Seems literally NOBODY is outraged..
The poor Haitians dont even know there is serious money going there..
-OR- how much is getting stolen (as usual) as always gets stolen..
Haiti has always been a black hole for money to just "disappear".."POOF" it just disappears..
And nobody cares.. especially in Haiti..
