A Glimpse into Obamacare’s Troubling Future

Everyone knows that Obamacare was loosely modeled on the refrom undertaken in Massachusetts. So how’s MA doing? About exactly as you’d expect. This summer the Boston Globe wrote that:

The relentlessly rising cost of health insurance is prompting some small Massachusetts companies to drop coverage for their workers and encourage them to sign up for state-subsidized care instead, a trend that, some analysts say, could eventually weigh heavily on the state’s already-stressed budget.

Unable to stop the bleeding, Massachusetts has resorted to price controls:

In February, the governor filed sweeping legislation that proposes to give the Division of Insurance the power to essentially cap health care price increases. That proposal is still pending…And on April 1, exercising authority the administration had never before used, the division denied 235 of 274 increases proposed by insurers for plans covering individuals and small businesses — base premiums would have increased as much as 32 percent. On July 1, it again held 137 proposed increases to 2009 rates.

The biggest problem is dems will run it like Social Security... all the young people paying into ObamaCare will have their ‘premiums’ spend the day they arrive in Washington... Eventually the system will go broke - much to the surprise of thieving dems...

All you need to know about the Mass. health care disaster is:

(1) It’s not Mitt Romney’s fault.

(2) It’s not to be called RomneyCare, it’s the Mass. Care.

(3) It’s not Mitt Romeny’s fault.

(4) Mitt Romney actually have very little to do with it, it was the Democrats that pushed it through.

(5) It’s not Mitt Romney’s fault.

(6) Mitt Romney actually had nothing to do with it, it was the Democrats that pushed it through over Romeny’s objections.

(7) It’s not Mitt Romney’s fault.

(8) Mitt Romney was on vacation and in the hospital unconcious when it passed, it was the Democrats that did it without Romeny even knowing about it.

(9) It’s not Mitt Romney’s fault.

The Commonwealth Health Insurance Connector Authority is cracking down on more than 3,000 residents who are fighting state fines, and has even hired a private law firm to force the health insurance scofflaws to pay penalties of up to $2,000 a year.

All told, more than 7,700 people have appealed state fines for not having health insurance, according to connector spokesman Richard Powers. The agency has hired several private attorneys at $50 an hour to hear many of the appeals, and some 3,150 of them have been denied — and the losers told to pay up…

Don't judges usually "hear" appeals? I'm guessing the Kreml...uh, Commonwealth is hiring attorneys to try the cases. What court is hearing these appeals?

First they force you to purchase something, and when you don't they use your tax dollars to sue you for penalty money. The Supreme Court has got to strike down Obamacare...it may be a lost cause for us in Massachusetts, but let's save the other 56 states!

Oh, and Mitt? Screw you.

You know, for a New England liberal-country club Republican-closet socialist-’Rat collaborating RINO, Romney really isn’t such a bad guy.

I think we should give him a second chance.

You left out:

(10) Mitt Romney was planning to veto it, but his veto pen was broken that day.

Not only that but Mitt had to pass it in order to find what was in it.
