I like feeding the birds and put bird seed out at times. I noticed that some of the seed gets eaten fast and also ends up on the ground. I started paying closer attention and found out that it was the squirrels eating the bird seed. Over and over the squirrels kept stealing the seed. I have rats, armadillos, skunks, snakes, rabbits and various other critters on the property. Only the squirrels steal the bird seed. Every time it is a squirrel.
By the governments way of thinking I need to harass all the critters on the property along with the squirrels so I can stop the bird seed theft. That makes no common sense.
All this so-called security BS in the airports is silly. So far the only people blowing up things and killing people are moslems. Not nuns, children, grandma or some software engineer who does not want "his junk" touched. It is moslems. Period. We should either profile the non-moslems or profile the moslems. Or both. We need to sensibly address the problem and then try to fix it. What we are doing now is absurd. You cannot fix the "squirrel" problem unless you focus on the squirrels.
One of those in finding the responsible "squirrels" was a former head of the "squirrel finding" agency who has an investment/profit motive for using equipment that considers EVERY airline user a potential bird seed thief (even though the equipment isn't totally effective). Currently there are "squirrels" within the agency that is supposed to identify the "squirrels." that have actually, to date, been responsible for all birdseed theft. As you asked, how effective ultimately is this going to be?
More than likely terrorists will be revved up to be the first to bring down a plane that is chock full of body-scanned travelers who were under the Napolitano/Obama/Chertoff illusion of traveling safely. The lawsuits will REALLY fly then.
