Former South Carolina Democratic Senate candidate Alvin Greene has only the highest hopes for his political future despite his crushing defeat two weeks ago he thinks he will be the next president.
In an interview outside a Columbia, S.C. courthouse where he was being tried for allegedly showing pornographic material to a college-aged girl Greene said he would sue the Columbia Free-Times newspaper if he read an account of the legal proceedings.
Instead Greene suggested the media focus on his presidential potential before claiming to be the "greatest person ever."
Im the next president, Greene said. Ill be 35 just before November, so I was born to be president. Im the man. Im the man. Im the man. Greenes the man. Im the man. Im the greatest person ever. I was born to be president. Im the man, Im the greatest individual ever.
According the Free-Times account, Greene's lawyers were supposed to show to court at 9:30 a.m. and still had not arrived at the court by 2:30 p.m. Greene indicated he wanted to plead "not guilty" to the charges as well as a jury trial, which Assistant Solicitor Andrew Rogers said would not begin until after the holidays.
Greene is Obama without TOTUS!
LMBO!
By dim standards, Alvin Greene is a giant. Just compare him to rangel, pelosi, reid, fwank.
You may have identified the evil geniuses behind Alvin Greene...
In any state, there are between 25% and 40% of the voters that will vote for Democrat regardless of his qualifications. You could run the vilest or most unqualfied individual for office as Democrat, and they’d vote for him.
‘Pubbies are a bit different. That number is smaller. We’ll turn on our own if they are even accused of misdeeds (which the Democrats love to use for their advantage).
As for the 2% of Republicans that voted for him - thats probably noise in the statistics (i.e. most of them lied to the pollsters...). The rest is race or anti-Tea Party sentiment.
I wonder how much I’d have to pay Alvin to change his first name to Barack?
He wouldn’t be worse than John Kerry or Mike Dukakis.
He comes across as a real authentic human being. Unlike Obama, Greene is unemployed. He knows what it is like to endure financial hardship in a terrible economy.
Alvin Greene is not an elitist. He doesn’t have an arrogant, holier-than-out, know-it-all contempt for ordinary people. Greene would go to Washington as an “outsider.” He can “connect” with voters in a way that Obama cannot.
Throw in his military service record and experience in the private sector. He is a better candidate than Hussein.
