Thanks caww for heads-up
Kim Jong-il purged tens of thousands in late 90's by unleashing the terror of "In-depth Investigation Squad"(심화조.) Basically, the squad combed through everybody's background to dig out some dirt(everybody has some) and use it to purge people. Eventually Kim Jong-il purged the In-depth Investigation Squad itself, executing its most members on the charge of gross abuse of power. He unleashed it and then washed his hand by liquidating it.
Kim Jong-eun would more or less follow the same playbook. However, this time around, those on Jong-eun's crosshair could be no longer cowering in the corner and waiting to be dead. They can reach out to outsiders to cut a deal in exchange for their safety, which was not possible when the country was completely sealed. That is no longer the case. Hence, Jong-eun's purge operation would meet more obstacles than his dad's

There is no doubt in my mind that Kim Jong Un has already been given a loaded pistol by his father, with other officials in attendence, and told to execute point blank somebody that had fallen out of favor.
And that he has done so--without hesitation.
Cold blooded murders must cultivate cold blooded murderers, to take over when they pass from the scene.
Now doubt, only 27 years old, and he already has blood on his hands.
Wonder what his former Western boarding school classmates from Switzerland think of that??

Sounds like he may be enjoying his new power. He could end up being worse than Jung-il

Perhaps it is the revenge by Jang Song Taek. I do not think that Kim Jong-eun has sufficient knowledge to do this.
