Today's review of write-in ballots ended with Sen. Lisa Murkowski enjoying an apparently insurmountable 10,420-vote lead over Joe Miller.
Murkowski also now has collected more votes that went unchallenged by Miller ballot observers than Miller's total vote count. That makes it appear as though Miller's lawsuit to seeking to toss out misspelled votes is irrelevant, since there aren't enough of those for him to win.
The Division of Elections has now counted a total of 100,868 votes for Murkowski. Miller has 90,448.

Lieberman won as an independent in CT after losing in the democrat primary. I havent been following all the details of this vote count, but Murkowski may have just done what Lieberman did in CT: win the centrist vote. Lieberman wasn't a write-in candidate. Murkowski wasn't on the ballot as an Independent.

What about Joe Lieberman vs. Ned Lamont in 2006?
Lieberman wasn't a write-in candidate.

Lieberman wasn't a write-in candidate. You didn't say that though, did you?
"Nobody gets tossed from the primaries and comes up winning by that kind of margin...."
I don't see an "as a write-in" part to that, do you?
To: speciallybland
No I didn't type the words "write in". And I appreciate you being precise and calling me on it. Lord knows I've done it to others.
However, because I didn't, did you for one second believe Murkowski's name was on the ballot?
