It is a myth, they deliberately left out the phrase that they are to ask the TSA agent if they have been "selected because of the the head scarf," if affirmative, then only neck and head can be checked. In all other cases they must ask for a private area for the pat down. They seem to be able to easily make a fool of you.

This is CAIR pushing it’s Sunni Jihadi agenda, the Stealth (or not so stealthy) Jihad, to get special exemptions etc for Muslims.
Of course, we give them credence and credibility to they keep pushing. Since one of their officers, ismail Royer was convicted on terror charges, they are following the tradional Muslim Brother method of using our laws to push their agenda.
In other countries, from Arabia to the East, EVERYBODY gets the Full Monty - no exceptions for burkas, miniskirts etc. etc. Don’t like it, don’t fly.
