You might think a 3-year-old would whiz through security. A child is non-threatening, wears slip-on shoes, and carries little luggage.

Not the case for Mandy Simon who was passing through security with her dad at the airport in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Long before this TSA "stuff," I was subjected to a "thorough exam" (including unzipping my slacks, checking the label on not only the slacks but also my underwear by a 19-21 yr. old TSA employee at the Atlanta airport -- in public.

My offense, I had a broken foot, wore an air cast on my foot and came in with crutches.

Now I'm to "trust" the same government agency when it assures me that subjecting my body to continuous X-ray waves or go through very thorough physical examination (not to worry - they'll do it in private.)

Oh, did I mention, I was sexually abused from age 7 to 11 so experiencing any handling by strangers, brings back awful memories.

Must I convert to Islam, agree to wear a Hijab so that "Big Sis" will allow me to go unmolested further?

Part of what makes this forum such a good one is the sincere effort made by most of its members to ensure accurate information is posted and to keep flaming at a minimum.

This thread is unfortunate because it propagates a falsehood published by CAIR that Muslims can opt out of certain parts of the airport screening process.

It is also unfortunate that one gets flamed and called a troll for simply stating facts.

SICK!!! There should be NO Muslims that wear that crap on their head doing the screening. I would freak out on them. NO WAY! It’s their damn fault this is happening. Piss on them. I’m so glad we have no Muslims, no mosques, none of that crap in my county. I’ve seen 3 and they were tourists and the local cops had them pulled over checking their trunk, car, etc. I don’t think they feel that comfortable here. GOOD!

I WILL NEVER FLY AGAIN.

My last flight was in October 2000. Soon after 9/11 this madness of overchecking air passengers began and I swore off air travel at that time. The airlines will never see a dime from me again.
