I guess "corrupt bass turds" came in too late to make into this year's finalists.
Maybe next year.

I say if “to disrespect” can become a valid verb, then so can refudiate.

Sarah Palin is now in a class with William Shakespeare; one who has coined a word in the English language that has a uniquely new precise meaning that did not exist before.

Refudiate beat out other tough competitors for the top spot in 2010, including gleek, vuvuzela, retweet, and tea party. Quite impressive!
To: onyx
Shucks, I was hoping it would be “epantsipation”

Peaceful Muslims, pls refudiate, "Refudiate" may be the word of the year, but "peaceful Muslims" is definitely the oxymoron of the decade.

The lefty elite have been saying she is mangling the English language, instead she is expanding it...
Funny.

Everything she touches turns to gold? She just got a word into the New Oxford American Dictionary. Freaking unbelievable.

Well, if "ginormous" (which is a cross between gigantic and enormous) may be considered a valid word; and if "guesstimate" (which is a hybrid of guess and estimate) is perfectly acceptable; I see no reason why "refudiate" should be...well, refudiated by The Elite Class...
