From where do you get "upset"? I haven't seen that. People are just discussing it because she's a possible presidential candidate, and that makes it relevant. I'm not upset by it, don't care who else watches it, and don't care about the ratings.
Look, I had really high hopes for Sarah! when she was nominated. I was hopeful that she might become the next Maggie Thatcher, who was derided by the elites as just a "shopkeeper's daughter" on her way up. THAT was a powerful, strong woman who advanced conservative principles through the sheer force of her iron will. I thought that Palin might just be the one to put those elites in their place with the force of her intellect and personality. And then....
Now maybe Margaret Thatcher is too high a standard to set for her (or anyone else), but I never expected Sarah! to morph into the pure populist she has become. She's now like Oprah! or someone else in pop culture recognized by first name only.
I'm disappointed, not angry or upset. It is critical to have candidates who are "one of us" in the sense that they share our values. I just think it takes more than that to be a seriously considered for the position of leader of the free world.
When was Sarah Palin nominated? Did I miss that?
Sarah Palin was chosen as the VP candidate.
I defend that woman because so many people attack her for the most ridiculous reasons out there.
Almost all of the posts bashing her are personal, not about any of her stands on any issues. I find that to be unique among BDS/PDS sufferers and liberals. If you don’t like one of her stands on an issue, well, let’s hear it. But to claim because of a television show that all of a sudden she’s lost your support (when you never supported her or anyone like her) is ridiculous.
