Jennifer C. Braceras 89 (communication), a newly appointed trustee who was named one of Massachusetts top 10 lawyers in 2000 and is the mother of four, enjoys being a contrarian. For starters, she is a Republican in a Democratic state and likes it that way. "If I lived in Alabama, I'd probably be a Democrat," Braceras says, noting too that politics has no place in the trustees boardroom. I don't care if someone is liberal or conservative. We're there because we care about the university."
Funny, I read the article, and said to myself - I bet it was written by a woman. Sure enuf....
Yeah, Palin didn’t do anything classy like give the Queen of England an i-pod full of her own speeches, give the UK PM a cheap set of DVD’s he can’t even play, kowtow to a bunch of crooked Arab sheiks, send world’s leading anti-Semite Ahmanutjob a birthday card, give the Russians a giant model of a re-set button with the wrong word on it, double the unemployment rate, quadruple the national debt, “win” a Nobel Prize for not being George W. Bush...
Need we go on?
This show is one of th dumbest things I’ve ever watched.
I’d vote for Jack Osbourne (Ozzy’s son) for President before I’d vote for Palin at this point.
That a person with a PR agency, and a background in TV news as an on air personality, would allow such a show on the air is beyond comprehension.
More bitching from the sidelines. So what about Palin’s show? She’s clearly enjoying life with her family and putting a positive spotlight on Alaska. This will have little to do with whether she has a successful run for President.
I wouldn’t blame her a bit if she turned it down; why give up a great life along with a massive amount of influence as an outsider, and subject yourself to the life-draining experience of governing an increasingly ungovernable country?
I hate to say it, but I wasn’t terribly impressed with the show. They should change the title to Alaska’s Sarah Palin.
I like Sarah Palin, but I really think she’s very close to over-exposure.
I think Michelle Bachman has more class. I like her. Can you see Michelle doing a show like this? I can’t.
Romney appointee:
Also appointed by Gov. Romney yesterday were: attorney and UMass alumnus Jennifer Braceras of Concord;

I enjoyed the parts of the show I saw.
She came across as a wannabe outdoors-man and not the real deal like Todd (man that dude is as real as it gets).
Now there is a difference between a wannabe and a pretend outdoors-man. A wannabe .. actually WANTS to be an outdoors-man but it doesn't really fit into their schedule(Bush was this type too). A pretender on the other hand actually hates the outdoors and wants nothing to do with it but will in certain instances that are advantageous to them pretend that they like the outdoors in order to seem like “one of the little people” (Gore and Kerry were this type, total FAKES)
I really wish this had been more of a documentary and less of a reality show... I personally think it hurt Palins chances of becoming president.
Well - if the LibMedia is all in a tizzy, then she’s doin’ it right.
(Friday Church News Notes, November 12, 2010, www.wayoflife.org fbns@wayoflife.org, 866-295-4143) -
In a joint appearance on Fox News with Geraldine Ferarro on Election Night 2010, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin called those who believe mothers should stay at home with their children Neanderthals. She said: There are still the Neanderthals out there, who pick on the petty little superficial meaningless things like looks, like whether you can or cant work outside of the home if you have small children. All those type of things where I would so hope that at some point, uh, those Neanderthals, will evolve into something a bit more, um, with it, a bit more modern, and a bit more understanding that, yeah, woman can accomplish much
Ferarro and Palin were the first women to run as US Vice Presidential running mates (Ferraro for Walter Mondale in 1984 and Palin for John McCain in 2008), and the Fox News discussion focused on how women have broken through many former barriers. What was NOT discussed was the Bibles teaching on the womans role in this present world.
I watched on my big screen HD TV and the scenery was majestic. Sarah has a beautiful family, who can complain about that? I can't wait to see the rest of the shows.
The liberals will just keep on trying to destroy her. Good luck with that.
Braceras' use of 'former Palinista' title reminds me of the 'seminar callers' to Rush that claim to be former Republicans. Not believable.
I wouldn't be surprised if tourism in Alaska is going through the roof.
And, as the public warms to Alaska, Palin will continue to educate them about the oil reserves.
The result of all this will be drilling in ANWR and a healthy treatment of the environment all over the USA. Wait and see.
I thought you might enjoy this.

Purely as contrast, do a thought experiment and try to picture our dear leader engaged in any of these activities.
1) Obama fishing without a guide, including:
a) baiting a hook with a live worm
b) baiting a hook with live baitfish
c) casting a spinning real (not a kiddy push button thing)
d) reeling in AND landing a fish over 15 pounds on light-medium gear.
2) Obama camping without secret service assistance (security yes, assistance no), including:
a) putting up a tent
b) coming back from the woods with a roll of TP in his hands
c) starting a campfire without a firestarter log
3) Obama firing a weapon. It needs to be at least a 9mm handgun. Long guns and shotguns are fine, but no kiddie pop guns.
Memo to Obama. Playing basketball with sycophants and secret service agents does not come off as particularly manly. Nor does playing golf twice a week.
Palin, Bacchman, deMint, I don't CARE who delivers/executes the message. I refuse to invest in a political celebrity.
