Nope... Not true..

NAIS was abandoned by the Feds this past spring and has now a “new” proposed system called ADT (Animal Disease Traceability) in place. Massive rollback on about everything. No more RFID tags. Basically reverting back to the old “Bangs” tags that were used during the Brucellosis control program.

Still, it is good to keep an eye on what is going on out there.

Thank you for that information. The last conversation I had with our vet in Ohio said that the USDA regs were to take effect in January of 2010. I’m glad to know that this was old info, for her practice included MANY amish farmers and they were very much up in arms over this.
