The article makes it sound like Joe has this one.
The article says that there are “thousands of absentee and write-in ballots” still to be counted. That’s because they still haven’t finished counting the write-ins cast on election day. Since they have consistently counted over 90% of write-ins for Murkowski, I have to assume that whatever number of election-day write-ins are yet to be counted will net Princess Lisa 90% of those votes (Miller has gotten very, very few write-ins, as was to be expected).
I think that we need Miller to outperform HUGE on absentee ballots, and even then he would need to get the courts to throw out ballots marked for “Lisa Merkowski” and “Lisa Murkowsky” and such. I am even less optimistic about the second factor as the first. I really hope that I’m wrong here.
