I am not really sure that Sarah will be the pres. nominee in ‘12, BUT I DO feel that she WILL be “on the ticket”

She’s done VP candidate and it wasn’t very pleasant. No matter who else gets the nomination, their campaign will not differ much from McCain’s. Gov. Palin is a leader, not a second in command yes-person.

This TV series is a reverse Reagan. Reagan had a great positive image from movies and TV before getting into politics where he was demeaned. Palin was demeaned as a politician first. She has to do it in reverse, hence the FoxNews gig and the documentary series on TLC, the books and the speeches. The dems have gone overboard defining her as the devil incarnate, and now for 8 weeks she will make liars out of them. Her book will be out soon, in time for the Christmas season. Her book tour takes her to the first caucus state, Iowa, twice.

All this didn’t happen by accident. Sarah Heath was paying attention in her classes at the University of Idaho. Her actions so far in campaign 2012 have enhanced the reputations of the U of Idaho political science and journalism departments.

Gutting a fish is acting like a man?

All I ask is for an honest vetting, not a coronatiom.

Again, you must have been playing hooky from current events (and FR) for the last two years.

NO potential contender for 2012 has been vetted more than Sarah Palin.

My grandmother killed her last rattle snake in her garden at 96. She still knew what to do then, she cut off the snakes head with her hoe. She really hated snakes.

Her ancestors came to Texas from Culpepper VA, after the Civil War.

Tough pioneer woman. And a lot of fun. She taught me to swim, ride a bike, hoe cotton, like to cook and a lot more. I grew up with about 70 feet between her house and my parents home. There were 7 of us who ate 2 meals a day at her kitchen table.

“I suppose in our neck of the woods we just aren’t so raw.”

Well, nmh, you better get used to getting more “raw”.

With that “man” in the People’s House, YOU’RE gonna have to have the stomach to do a helluva lot more than gut fish. You might actually have to fish to put food on the table. Or, dumpster-dive......or, is that “women’s work”?

Like my mom: “You catch ‘em, you clean ‘em.” (But she would do the cooking!)

I say that every time but it's to their back as they're headed back out with a "But they're biting now!!!" One of my fondest memories is of my grandmother out fishing in the pouring rain. She had on grandpa's raincoat and every few minutes, she'd come back in with fish stuffed in every pocket. She'd dump them in the kitchen sink and run back down to the dock. She was having a blast and we were having a blast just watching her.

I loved Julia Child, she was especially entertaining when she did fish. Did you ever see the one where she gutted the fish without cutting it open? As funny as the WKRP Thanksgiving show!

If so, then it is too early to corinate anyone. Just sayin.

There’s no coronation. We will have caucuses and primaries. We have our ears open and are listening. At this point, only one candidate is saying what we want to hear. We don’t want to hear whispering, rumors, and anonymous staffers. If there is to be more than one candidate, then let him or her step forward and say something that advances the discussion.

Yes, I would have guessed by your comments that there are a lot of girly men in your neck of the woods.

Let’s be honest. Sarah Palin may be a strong woman, but nobody thinks she’s the manlier one in that family.

Leave the baking cookies to Romney. Leave the fish and moose to Sarah.

Poor Todd, nothing. Did you not see that look he gave her in the studio. It was just a small smile but it was “that” kind of smile. There is no question in my mind he is still in love with his wife after all those years. Todd knows he’s got a good thing.

“our neck of the woods we just aren't so raw”

And just where might such refinement be found? That means where is you neck of the woods? Where are folks so dainty that they faint at the sight of slaughtering turkey and gutting fish? You are starting to remind me of a lawyer I met from Chicago. He was still gasping because he had stopped at a restaurant in the panhandle and saw men with cow poop on their boots.

I suppose in our neck of the woods we just aren't so raw. We've been civilized and don't relish dissecting fish as the equivalent to baking cookies. You probably really got off watching an interview in front of a butcher putting the head of a turkey into a cone to be decapitated.

You've got to be kidding. Throughout history it was the wife who usually ringed the chickens' necks to feed her family. It's not "getting off" (such class there, bub), it's simply how food is prepared. I've raised my share of poultry and have chopped many a neck but I suppose I'm uncivilized because I sometimes don't buy mine in nice clean packages from the grocer or pay a chef to prepare them for me at some fancy restaurant.

Keep digging that hole...

Never mind your stupid rant about Palin for a moment.

You've been a member since 1998 and you still don't know how to post a functioning hyper link.

What are you, retarded?

After watching this woman straddling crevasses and hanging out with Grizzlies at feeding time(and these bears seemed to be in a really testy mood)...

I mean...seriously...what chance does a gel-haired gelding like Romney have against this woman?

Depends on how many Schmidthead and Rovian backstabbers he can hire. But that doesn’t seem to be working real well.
