GWB was not concerned with what a Kayne West had to say, but rather with what he was accused of.
To be accused of not liking an entire race in the aftermath of one of the worst disasters in US history ought to be “one of the most disgusting moments” in anyone’s presidency.
Lauer is too shallow to comprehend the magnitiude of West’s declaration and its effect on President Bush.

I believe Lauer saw an opportunity to take a comment totally out of context and tweak it just enough to construct a vile cheap shot.
