There is a perfect example of troll behavior. Derail the discussion to the "poor" swamp.
When almost 50% of the population does not pay income taxes and also gets welfare, it is part of the problem, and a subject for its own thread.
Right now the two key issues is freeze spending while things are sorted out and the second issue is freeze and reverse taxes.
Begone with your "how we treat our poor" BS.
When it becomes compulsory, it is no longer charity!
Do you not see how narrow your take is on “how do we treat our poor”? How can you say it is a troll remark? Do you think your opinion is the only one?
IMO, our poor are subsidized, bought off and on the government teat for generations (why? because they can't take care of themselves, sarcasm).......encouraged to stand on street corners, encouraged to have many, many children, collecting all the more federal money. Our poor have dignity, and the system in this country has done everything it can to dehumanize, and erase the dignity from the poor. And poor, BTW, doesn't have any particular color.
