I respect your purist vision but politics is a game of chess not checkers. Cause and effect, NO coin means no power. Rome faced serious problems when it couldn’t fund it’s army.

The reality is without money the government shuts down, people go home and wait until congress approves a new budget. There are millions of people that make up our government. You cannot control a government of that size no matter how much you will it to. Politicians tell us what they want to happen, what actually happens is an entirely different matter.

You don’t know anything about me and should be careful mounting a personal attack on this forum.

Rome didn't have the virtually endless supply of 1s and 0s that constitute "wealth" today.

The value of those 1s and 0s is largely manifested by the PetroDollar's hegemony.  And as long as the USA has the worlds largest embassy compound, in Baghdad, under Military control - with the ability to project military force into the surrounding region - the PetroDollar ain't goin' belly up anytime soon.

But now, if wooseyfied poodles pee all over the floor and submit to the liberal RINO Wolves growling at the door whilst wearing Earl Gray sheepskin - that could change things, couldn't it?

You want Nero in control of Baghdad?  Me neither.  Now go clean up your puddle.
