Should Obama quit after one term?
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/13/10 | Byron York

Would Barack Obama be a stronger president if he announced today that he will not run for re-election in 2012? Democratic strategists Pat Caddell and Doug Schoen say the answer is yes.

"If the president goes down the reelection road, we are guaranteed two years of political gridlock at a time when we can ill afford it," Caddell and Schoen write in Sunday's Washington Post. "But by explicitly saying he will be a one-term president, Obama can deliver on his central campaign promise of 2008, draining the poison from our culture of polarization and ending the resentment and division that have eroded our national identity and common purpose."

obanjo would still be a fraud no matter what he would do. more and more people are looking for an arrest rather than a resignation.

Agreed, but in direct answer to the headline: That would be very nice. Would he consider stepping down before that, even? Biden too? I’d DEFINITELY enjoy Boehner handling the rest of bHo’s first term!

He should leave asap. Our nations security is at risk with this idiot in office. If/when there’s another 9/11 he won’t know what to do. He’s protected and safe, that’s all he cares about.

“draining the poison from our culture of polarization and ending the resentment and division that have eroded our national identity and common purpose.”

That’s not a bug. It’s a feature. The longer that things are gridlocked, the less money they’ll be able to squander.

Outgoing Presidents are always weaker as other people and interest groups know he will not be around much longer. Why would Dem Senators align themselves with outgoing loser?

Not having to run for office again, would liberate O to be true himself e.g. openly push for nationalizing industries, confiscating money from white people and encouraging Iran/Syria/Hezbollah to wipe Israel off the map. In that sense, he would be stronger president, but not many Senators would be following.

He would be isolated and domestically finished. Only damage in foreign policy.

Imagine a scenario where he makes some vapid statement about ‘considering his options for a second term’.

Just the thought of his departure would have a huge positive reaction in both parties and the American public.

Once the relief sets in & enthusiasm returns the US, he will simply run for a second term.

I think there is far too much buyers remorse in the country for Obama to be reelected. He will go down in history as a failed experiment.
