Where such countermeasures unquestionably succeed is advancing terrorist aims. Make no mistake, the enemy would prefer to kill us but if in the interim he can demoralize us, reduce our faith in our own government and institutions, inconvenience us, impoverish us and diminish our quality of life that’s not a bad day’s work either. Implementing a moronic and manifestly unconstitutional practice such as indiscriminate full body scans and searches achieves precisely that.
They have named everyone suspected terrorists and they now have creepy fusion centers all over the nation - spy centers where they classify Americans as enemies based on their first amendment activities. They have no congressional oversight at all (not that it would do any good.)
Republicans and Democrats have been passing multi-thousand page leglislation, written by God knows who, without reading it and analyzing it properly.
I would recommend that the airline flight crews refuse to fly and passengers refuse the scanners AND the TSA gropers enmasse. What would the TSA and Secretary Incompetentano do? Tie the air transport system up in knots until some sanity — yes, profiling — is done instead if this stupidity exercise executed by TSA cretins. I wish to extend my sincerest apologies to any cretins I may have offended by my choice of words.

I, too, drive wherever I want to go. I hope when you are driving you will get off the interstates, which all look alike, and travel the back roads. This is a beautiful country, and driving on the lesser roads gives you a chance to see just how beautiful it is............
Again you have to go through a central point and submit to centralized control in order to travel. TSA is about control of movement not safety of travel which is why Chuck Schumer wanted this bureaucratic monster to begin with.

Add to that that you will only be able to go somewhere, not anywhere, on the trains. Entire areas will be more or less isolated. Strangely enough, these areas will be rural and sparsely populated, with few cities. They will become backwaters, on one hand, and OTOH, no one will know, much less care what happens there. Likely, they will coincide with the Agenda 21 maps showing areas of little to no human habitation.
Totalitarians always have many methods that achieve the same goal.
I must be getting near 20 years since I last subjected myself to one of those flying cattle cars. It was dreadful back then, but I can’t imagine putting up with the BS passengers do now. Besides, driving cross country is fun if you set out to enjoy the trip. Frankly, I can easily foresee living out the rest of my days without returning to the agony that is air travel. Rail is the preferred mass transit for me, at least old-school with dining cars and sleeper compartments, but that’s pricey.
I keep wondering if Congress couldn’t use Go to Meeting. com. Think of all the money we could save there.

A friend of mine flew for a major carrier. He said that the pilot’s unions and the flight attendant’s unions should tell the airlines that they if this does not stop, that they will not fly for one day. If after two weeks, if this does not stop, then they will not fly for two days and build on it. If the pilots and flight attendants step up to the plate and demand this, it will get stopped.
I was thinking could have accomplished about as much if he had stayed at home and used Go To Meeting.com for his latest economic fiasco in India, etc.
Of course, he and his family don’t have to be bothered with the TSA.
I am having wickedly delicious imaginings of this happening in every airport across the country during Thanksgiving - and everyone wearing "Don't Tread on Me" underdrawers!

I say the way to end this is simple. The tactic requires a bit of acting ability, but will encourage TSA employees to cease and desist. When sentenced to irradiation; opt out. When patted down moan loudly, visibly quiver and simulate orgasm when the genital area is touched.
