What is going on is that you missile believers want something exciting, and you are ignoring all logic, physics, and analytic geometry to make something exciting of a totally innocuous and commonplace airliner signature.
And that includes such self-deluded "experts" as McInerny.
McInerny did not see the early portion of that "flight". That video only covered the last minute or so of the flight. He based his "guidance kicking in" conclusion on shear wind distortion of the contrail that happened many minutes earlier than the video. IOW, he did not see the portion of the flight that he based his verdict on...
Simple test: ask McInerny (and yourself) whether the direction of flight was toward or away from the viewer...
And ask if the exact same thing occurred at the same time and location on preceding and following days.
Honest answers to those two questions will force you to face the truth. (It was AWE808).)
US Airways still isn’t talking.
Honest answer: the object is heading away from the viewer at an oblique 45 degree angle.
Honest answer: the General knows better and has more experience than you and all the “contrailers” added together.
Ditto’s the Jane’s Missile expert who gave his reasons as you have not.
Ditto the Under Secretary of Defense and US Ambassador to NATO and the LAX webcam people and the original photographer. “Spectacular! It is a sub based missile launch”. I have no need to want it to be this, it just is, and it obviously is- it’s not even hard to see it if you have seen missile launches before, as many of us on FR have -— they look EXACTLY like this incl the engine signature when seen from the ground.
The missile rises from the surface of the ocean and course corrects then heads out over the ocean to the North Pacific.
But all these experts are fools.
It’s just wind and water vapor seen just above our heads as an airliner flies over to Arizona and the US government has nothing to hide nothing to cover up here. Happens every day. Move along.
