Other have re-created the same thing, the same image, on the nights following ...

Not the same contrail/plume lighting. Lighting is the key. Our government is omnipotent, but they cannot control the sun.

one of those big jets significanly drops speed and altitude approaching busy airspace to land at an airport 125 miles away, doesn't it? I mean, way too low and slow to be mistaken for a missile by anyone who's actually SEEN a missile?

Correct...that is no way a UPS into ONT...more ridiculous than an eastbound heavy into PHX...

....resulting in video showing you an adequate similiarity to the Nov 8 occurrence.

Similarity now, what happened to, I have a web cam image that is identical ?

Hedging your bets is a wise move.

Let the games continue !

Hey, Ape, I’ve got a question, pretty much what I just asked Niteflyr. Wouldn’t the plane have had to drop altitude and speed pretty significantly before getting here at a distance of 125 miles? Or are you saying that because it’s a cargo plane, it takes huge, fast drops in altitude on approach?

Yes, odd that no one has interviewed him again or asked to see the whole video uncut and unedited.

I know CBS has the rights to the video but they are only adding to the confusion by withholding it. That seems to be an MSM trait.

Well I asked to see it whole and uncut but my guess is that CBS is not listening to me ...

Honest question: Why?

Classified. Numerous experts have speculated that it was classified. Have you ever been through a debriefing ?

Why was it ridiculous? My thought was (other than the obvious point that it's headed easterly ... oops! Say ... how long do you think it will take somebody to conjure up a legit flight heading northwest as a plausible explanation? I mean, they can't quite change the sun or start reversing negatives, so ...) ... anyway, I figured, because of watching planes, that again, it would be high, but not so high you couldn't definitively ID it as a plane with visual aid or magnification -- like a pair of binoculars.

Trusting official military sources is one thing, and they're the ones saying it's an airliner.

Wait a second there. I may have missed the latest DoD position but as late as last Friday they were couching their opinion in "it's probably an airplane." At that time they were making no definitive statement other than "it's no threat" although they never gave any reason as to why they were sure of that.

Not out of the question, but more difficult as the days go by.

You can use AWE808. It arrives 30 minutes ahead of UPS902. And just like UPS902 it stays at cruising altitude > 29,000 feet while over the ocean. On the day of November 8th AWE808 was already over Catalina Island 14 minutes before the event was spotted 35 miles SW of LA. So we are absolutely certain that is was not AWE808. 100 %. It actually crossed over California mainland at 17:06:00 on that day. Well before the event. BTW - it took 4 1/2 minutes to get from Catalina Island to the California mainland in OC.

Well, I'm okay with that.

I sure wish they'd just smiled slyly and said, "no comment." It would have indicated more respect for and confidence in "the people."

Even the photographer said it was moving from West to East ~

No, he didn't say that. It is very easy to confirm exactly what he said. Listen to the very short interview with him.

First video on this page.

"...spinning and going in a westerly direction." He also says "...it continued up into the sky and finally disappeared." If it had been approaching him, especially for a landing in LA, it should have been easy to see as it got bigger and descended.

OK

that was my confirmation of what I also had seen in the video ( I had seen it much earlier)

and it was posted up thread here by TigersEye, not me.

It was on the CBS web site, under “Morning Show” and posted here under “link” and it was clickable.

What was the exact location of the camera used in the ContrailScience GIF animations ? What was its exact camera angle (heading). IE - How many degrees south of due west. Once I get that data then it would be worthwhile. Otherwise I can just visualize it in my head. Have that ability. Always know where west, east, north and south are. Never get lost. Especially if I have a woman with me :>

No doubt. Their enigmatic and contradictory opening statement of "we don't know what it is but it's no threat" created confusion and doubt not confidence.

I just wanted to keep it straight that the gov has not stated unequivocally that it was an airplane or get caught up if I was behind on their position.

If you had bothered to look you would have seen that only two flights between 4:45 to 5:45 even came up from the southwest deep ocean into the Los Angeles basin.

The relevant question is not how many flights were coming from the same direction, but how many people in the entire LA airspace were in a position to see the contrail/plume seen by the news helicopter. These people/aircraft could be travelling in any direction that would allow viewing of this from their windows.

Since some of the helicopter shots show land, it is clear that one did not have to be far out over the deep ocean to witness this phenomenon.
