If the object in flight left the surface of the earth 35 miles away from the observer, and was observed for 10 minutes,

None of these assumptions are known to be true.

No accurate numbers have been ascertained at all, and so your huge “mathematical” posts are all baseless.

And by the way, before you violently and viciously attack me, I was a very advanced mathematics star university honors student up until the age of 20 when I stopped and switched to comparative linguistics ...

The cameraman never said that. He said he “observed” it for ten minutes. He never specified (anywhere that I have seen or heard) what part of the video began at what time in relation to when he first observed it. The video itself records the frame in question occurring less than a minute and forty seconds from his earliest recording.

This is correct. And accurate.

So, if the cameraman, who you seem to hold in such high esteem, was correct in saying this object was traveling toward his camera, west to east, why was it traveling so slow?

I have yet to see any evidence that the camerman said it was moving west to east.

This is correct. And accurate.

Yep. That's it. Thanks for finding it. As the gal in the movie Major League said, "That oughta shut these people up!"

That short video interview with Gil Leyvas is the only interview and statement from him about this event that I am aware of. Is that your understanding as well?

Yes.

Odd, that, don’t you think?

The whole thing is replete with “odd” from beginning to end ...

Well, there’s no need to speculate or make a LotRs animated gif for something that we can just view and listen to. ;^)

What self respecting missile takes 10 FREAKING MINUTES to traverse the sky?

We do not know that it flew for 10 minutes, only that he remained on the event for 10 minutes. We are just assuming it flew for that whole 10 minutes. At any rate, a plane flying at 500-600 mph would traverse up to 50 miles in 5 minutes. That means it should have been over California mainland in 5 minutes from a position 35 miles SW of the coast, if it was headed dues east as UPS 902 was at that point. So your time argument is absolutely mute and is against it being a plane. A missile that was cued up to test a Plane Based Laser Interceptor Test, that had failed the last time we know they used it around here, might not use the fastest rocket in the quiver. And they certainly would not aim it toward the most populated land on the west coast.

Yes, odd that no one has interviewed him again or asked to see the whole video uncut and unedited. I know CBS has the rights to the video but they are only adding to the confusion by withholding it. That seems to be an MSM trait.

The lighting of the setting sun clearly shows that it's headed northwest.

What amazes me is that anyone thinks this "object" is headed eastbound...seem to be taking that model and trying to make everything fit no matter what~

Which it turns out fits the data remarkably well.

A flight that on its closet approach to Long Beach is 35 miles due south at an altitude of 30,000 feet. Heck, you would need a telescope to zoom into the Casino at Catalina at that distance. And that is at sea level. Yet we are to believe it just happened to be captured fairly large and fairly clear on a camera pointed and focused at its contrail on the horizon ?

The UPS plane on the other hand began its approach descent into Ontario...the contrails no longer formed when the plane left high altitude.

UPS902 was over Catalina Island on 11/8 at 17:31:33 altitude 30,000 feet. Was 35 miles due south of Long Beach at 17:33:01 altitude 29,000 feet. Was 20 due south of Costa Mesa at 17:34:29 altitude 29,000 feet. No major descent until over land south of Fallbrook. Seems to be its normal daily flight plan. What a ride. Posted a link to the SiteMonitor site where you can verify that yourself.

Yeah! And also that they are claiming it was a UPS plane on approach Ontario Airport, for Pete's sake! Only 50 miles due east from where the camerman was, first appearing from a south-west point 125 miles from Ontario, and 75 miles from the cameraman. Now, you're an L.A.-Inland Empire area pilot, though you're not a commercial pilot if I remember right, but ...

... one of those big jets significanly drops speed and altitude approaching busy airspace to land at an airport 125 miles away, doesn't it? I mean, way too low and slow to be mistaken for a missile by anyone who's actually SEEN a missile?

But like you say, it's totally MOOT because the sun shows that the object in the video was heading northwest! I mean ... did common sense suddenly take a hike with these folks?

And I am your FRiend telling you: this is an example of how at risk the BEST of us Americans...

Actually I see this event as very instructive for how they were able to convince the scientific consensus community that AGW was happening. The Animated GIF is analogous to the Michael Mann Hockey Stick. Very instructive concerning the techniques they employed.

To him it looked like an incoming missile.

So an MSM second hand account about what somebody else said is good enough evidence for you. Well that explains a lot. And when the pilot actually said it looked like it was growing, what was it ? The plume ? Yes the plum/contrail was growing.

I thought someone plotted this as a US Air flight from Hawaii to Phoenix or something? Now UPS into ONT? :o0
