Urgent: Save Walid's Life

As some of you know already, our friend 'Waleed Al Husseini' who is an active writer and believer in Human Rights disappeared a few days ago, then reports on websites which are affiliated to fatih organisation started appearing that he has been arrested by the Palestinian Authorities for his "non religious" or atheist activities on Facebook...,

Latest news we received is that he is in prison - West Bank Palestinian security agencies arrested him, and he could be facing execution or 30 years in prison!

We need to prepare a campaign, sign a petition, call peoplethat may help him out of the danger he's in.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. It is our responsibility to help a fellow free-thinker in any way that we can.

I already started a thread on this subject, when I realized that just posting an AP story and getting reactions was not enough. Going through the Facebook links on this brave young man, I cam across this plea to help him, and decided to give it a wider audience. I joined one of the groups. It has 233 members to date. A lot of the posting is in Arabic, a language in which I am far from fluent, but there are English posts, and besides, we ought to show solidarity with the cause of freedom for Palestinians--from their true oppressor, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas.
