How does being Hispanic preclude one from being American or a “Great Californian”?

Being Hispanic has to do with one’s ethnicity, NOT their nationality.

I am Hispanic and, I’m an American Military Veteran, how great I am is still up for debate.

Your screen name says it all!
If these students do not want to see the American flag there is a very easy remedy for their parents: Take them back to where the American flag is not on display. Easy remedy. End of problem.

I believe the post was agreeing with your point of view...he is an American, regardless of race, or nationality. God Bless Cody, a great American!
