So true. The only time in my entire life that I have had a flat tire while driving was in Mitchellville, returning from a party in Deal. I felt like I was going to be carjacked while waiting for AAA.
Anyway, a few years back there was a controversy after the residents of Mitchellville sought to ban kids playing basketball at night because they were all thugs. Of course, the irony was that these wealthy black people wanted to live in a safe neighborhood just like the wealthy white (racists) in other parts of the Metro area. For some reason, the black residents couldn't adequately explain their disdain for unemployed kids who play basketball late at night without sounding like white people, so the newspapers stopped asking tough questions.
