Mel Gibson has been ordered to surrender multiple guns to the Los Angeles Police Department, it has been revealed.

He is said to have been in possession of items including "a blue steel, semi-automatic 9 millimetre Glock handgun, a blue steel, semi-automatic 9 millimetre Beretta handgun, a blue steel, semi-automatic 12 gauge Benelli shotgun, a blue steel, lever action Winchester rifle" and several magazines and speed loaders for the weapons.

They are now part of the cops home gun collections. They are officially lost. Mel will never see them again.

I'm surprised he let his guns go peaceably. I saw one of those Lethal Weapon movies and he had some 9MM ammo for his service pistol that shot clean through a bulldozer blade. Kop Killer bullets they said. Should’ve called them Bulldozer Killer bullets.

Went clean through the bulldozer blade.

Could’ve made better choices than 9mm.

Just sayin’

I was wondering when this would happen. Its pretty standard for a DV case in Kalifornia. Get a DV charge leveled against you and your guns get a vacation.

Should’ve called them Bulldozer Killer bullets.

Rachel Corrie could have used one of those!

"I thought LA was still in America, where we have a guarantee of due process."

The "due process" rights apply to some laws, but not to others. Our Constitutional rights do not apply to anything having to do with firearms or drugs.

Some of our posts have been more verbally demonstrative than anything Gibson did with his stuff. Posters shouldn’t say anything lest they get some ugly paperwork from Gestapo lurkers. Or even worse, a visit that will leave you toothless. Clean your teeth. Just like Nazi Germany you don’t know who or what to trust. Democrat = Gestapo. You vote them out and dismantle their paper regime.

Why do you assume he spent “all that cash on 9mm”?

The explosive sales of Beretta 92FS is a result of his use of one in “Lethal Weapon”. Beretta may have gifted him one.

Gibson is worth over $500 million, which not only means he can afford to buy whatever he likes, but that he doesn’t likely have a small dick problem requiring a bigger calibar pistol.

He must be crazy to be spending all that cash on 9mm.

IIRC, Martin Riggs' preferred weapon was a Beretta 92 or 99. so that might explain why Gibson has one... The only thing I can't get over is why he's got (or had) handguns, given just how incredibly anti-gun the Lethal Weapon movies were. Then again, he was just an actor in the movies.

That is what I would think. He has had these guns all this time and nothing has happened.

“He must be crazy to be spending all that cash on 9mm. One shred of sanity is the Benelli - hope for the man yet”

In a sane world, what he bought would not be grist for conversation. However we do not live in a sane world, we live in a world that is infested with liberals.

At the end of the day when you are faced with someone wishing to do you harm, does it matter one whit if you have a Baretta , Glock or Sat night special.
If it throws a projectile at the bad guy, and you walk away whether it cost 10.00 dollars or 1000.00 dollars you are alive and the bad guy is dead or out of commission

Most people do not have the ability to spend large cash on weapons, he does. But again at the end of the day a 92SF has a magazine that holds 15, maybe not in Calif, but it surely holds more than one.
