There are plenty of jobs in India, true. With US corporations. So many, that these corporations compete for the IT personnel, who, I know from experience, don’t stay in a job for more than a few months. But that’s all right, as they demand a fraction of the salaries of their US counterparts. And, again from experience, the Indians call in sick once a week, and like to celebrate their numerous religious holidays.

According to a transcription board I frequent, the American MTs working for these global transcription companies suddenly had a ton of work over the weekend. Apparently the Indians were given 5 days off to celebrate Diwali. Glad the Americans could save the day....again.
