Pakistan: U.S. and Pakistani officials marked the latest chapter in the growth of the Pakistan Air Force with the delivery of three additional new F-16 aircraft to the Government of Pakistan from the United States during an induction ceremony today at Shahbaz Air Base near Jacobabad, Pakistan.

“These aircraft represent a significant increase in Air Force technology and capability for our strategic allies here in Pakistan,” said Brig. Gen. Michael Nagata, Deputy Commander of the Office of the Defense Representative to Pakistan. “These deliveries are the culmination of many, many years of hard work, a great deal of patience, a great deal of labor and commitment that many people have contributed to make a day like this a reality.”

I often wonder if the U.S. has a built in virus in the aircraft they sell to countries like Pakistan. I mean, the type of thing they can activate to make the planes inoperable- just in case the purchasing country turns to the dark side.

I have heard that there are “kill switches” especially when we sell to nations like Saudi Arabia. But these are unsubstantiated rumors and talk.

I remember them saying that in the 1980's TV show, "Airwolf," where Archangel brought up that point where our forces had a signal to disrupt our hardware for "just in case." Then again, it was just a TV show, but I do have to wonder about that.

MEANWHILE they are preparing to HANG a young Christian woman for allegedly blaspheming Mohammad.

American political dealing with these bastards is and was corrupt going back through at least the Bushes.

If these bastards want help from us, they should be FORCED to stop persecuting non-Muslims - their favorite hobby - when they are not torturing their own co-coreligionists.

We should not be helping a nation, that finances and provides safe haven for terrorists.

We should not.

NOR should we be aiding an abetting a nation which rules by Sharia Law and persecutes non-Muslims like the NAZIs persecuted Jews.

I agree with 100 percent. The U.S. has turned a blind eye on the terrorist activities of the Pakistani government

We never seem to get it. We can’t trust an Islamic nation in a confrontation with other Muslims.

Iraq is turning into a mess. We spent a fortune in dollars and lives over there and the Sunnis and Shiites have included anti-American Iranian and Baathist elements in their government, done a thorough job of eradicating Christian Communities there and are at the point of dissolving into the kind of anarchy or religious fanaticism which are the only alternatives in an Islamic “Republic”.

Meanwhile we are wasting more American lives and money in Afghanistan to “win” WHAT????

The ONLY way to deal with Islamic trouble spots is through the kind of Blitzkrieg we effected so well in Iraq and THEN PULL OUT!!

Let the Saudis or some other Red Crescent sponsoring country help the bastards out. The more money they are forced to spend helping their fellow Muslim nut-jobs, the less they have to spend on Mosques and Madrases HERE and in Europe.

Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is the Aviation branch of the Pakistan armed forces and is responsible for defending Pakistani air-space from intrusions. It also provides air support for ground troops. Air Force Day is celebrated in Pakistan on the 7 September, the day after the annual celebration of the Pakistan Defense Day. On Air Force Day the air force has air shows and other events to mark the PAF's role in defending the nation. The Pakistan Air Force has 65,000 full-time personnel and operates 470+ combat aircraft, making it the seventh largest in the world.

Always trying to win their “Hearts & Minds” when their hearts & minds should be targets.
islamist radicals and their supporters should quake and cover at the sight of an F-16, rather than obtaining them!
