The video showed a missile. A jet contrail is water vapor and dissipates rather quickly. A rocket's plume is made of of the products of combustion. It is denser and more opaque. It is not wispy like a cloud.

The California one? That was a missile. Yea, and Forrest Gump shook hands with JFK. Please have some self-respect for your own credibility. I hate to see otherwise bright people dig in to a bad position. Not you specifically, but some FReepers have sold the missile theory so hard that no amount of evidence to the contrary will bring them back around to reality.
And if science proves this was a missile, I will be the first one to say I was wrong and will gladly take the ridicule.
