The Saudi just needed to whisper something to his jihadi cohort.

Geithner in UAE ahead of G20

US Treasury Secretary meets with top officials in Abu Dhabi on eve of G20 meeting in Seoul

Dubai: US Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner had a series of meetings with top government officials in Abu Dhabi Tuesday on the eve of the G20 meeting in Seoul that will have dollar stability high on the agenda.

Geithner flew in from India, where he was part of US President Barack Obama’s entourage, and departed the same day for Singapore.

He discussed “broad developments in the global economy and [his nation’s] close working relationship” with the UAE, a US embassy spokesperson told Gulf News.

Geithner met General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and other senior officials. Geithner was last in Abu Dhabi in July.

“His visit comes at a time when the weakness of the dollar is creating opportunities and fears across the world,” an economist told Gulf News on condition of anonymity. “The second round of quantitative easing worth $600 billion (Dh2.2 trillion) that the US announced last week is expected to find its way into emerging market assets, because that’s where the returns are going to come from.”

Meanwhile, though the EU has been able to obtain lower tariffs for its goods with a free trade agreement with South Korea - early in 2010; Obama did not try to get the trade agreement U.S. negotiators already completed with South Korea, before he took office, approved by Congress. Instead, he sought to make his own deal, which, in spite of a last-minute top level push this week, he leaves South Korea with no new U.S.-Korea trade agreement to send to Congress. Apparently even little South Korea is not impressed by the messiah.

I think O is bending down to listen to him. If he were to stand tall and talk to him eye-to-eye), he would be taller, possibly appearing superior to the Saudi King. I don’t think Obama wants to be feel superior to the Saudi King. I think Obama lowers/humbles himself to this King.

He’s either totally tone deaf or doesn’t care.

He’s been made fun of for the constant use of teleprompters. He continues to use them, even in staff meetings.

He’s been laughed at for his nose in the air posture. His nose is still in the air.

He’s been chastized for bowing to foreign leaders. He’s still bowing.
