Herein lies a legitimate question.

LIFETIME dosage applies to ionizing radiation.

So, *DO* the backscatter imagers employ ionizing radiation? If yes at what levels/strengths?

We need to keep in mind the FACT that whilst flying in a plane we always receive a measurable dose of ionizing radiation from the sun and our atmosphere.

NET: we need and deserve a legitimate, non-TSA answer to this question: do these scanners emit ionizing radiation?
