This is really silly. Is anyone really stupid enough to think that somehow the TSA workers were able to talk the higher ups into getting body scanners so they could ogle passengers?
Put the blame where it belongs—on Crapitano & her new TSA head. This is their genius idea for coercing people to go thru the scanners rather than get groped.
Crapitano could have gotten in front of this asininity & at least held a presser to inform the public of their inentions, but they’d rather let the workers take all of the abuse for them.

Let me offer a different solution.
Employ the Computer-aided Diagnostic Software CURRENTLY used in medical DIGITAL radiography (digital x-ray machines).
This software looks at a digital X-ray image and is BETTER and faster than humans at reading the films. The computer then flags the image and the region and notifies a human to verify what the computer thinks it found.
This applies to passenger screening in the same way: thousands of people go through very high resolution scanners, machines read the images better than ‘trained’ TSA agents, and only those passengers with telltale image artifacts get abused by humans.
It’s faster, cheaper and more reliable.
As far as I know, El Al doesn't use Nude Body Scanners or Grope Pat-Downs. Is that true?

Some brave local Sheriff needs to file sexual assault charges against a couple of TSA screeners in his jurisdiction. That will have Big Sis upchucking her Wheaties.

Looks like there could a lot of lawsuits on something like this.
I would hope some personal civil suits against the gropers as well.
The screening process has been further delayed by the airlines charging for checked bags so passengers are now bringing everything but steamer trunks as carry on bags that all have to be screened.
I have fixed this problem for myself... I WILL NEVER FLY ON A COMMERCIAL PLANE AGAIN.

Here’s the deal. I’m not going to subject my minor daughter to EITHER the naked scanner or the groping “pat down”. From what I’ve read, the “pat down” would land these people in jail if they tried it outside the airport.
The answer is that we will not be flying. I’m sure others won’t, as well. A great boost to our already-lagging economy when travel gets socked now.
People, they think we’re sheep and will take it. Here’s what the TSA says:
“’We have received minimal complaints,’ a TSA spokeswoman told CNET yesterday. She said that the agency, part of DHS, keeps track of air traveler complaints and has not seen a significant rise.”
Well, she is going to see a rise from this former traveler.
